Halloween '09 in the West End

Halloween in Vancouver was awesome this year. Unlike a forecast earlier that week calling for rain, the skies were clear with a near full moon. We met up with friends and walked around the West End (east of Denman). People in homes and apartment buildings really went out of their way to dress up their entrances the enterain the kids and adults alike. One guy dressed up as bushes scared lots of kids. One guy even scared the heck out of me. I thought he was a statue until he lurched out at me. It was fun for all.

Ernie brings Em back alive...

It's easy to spot Em, she's the smallest person out there...

The potatoe gun is Ernie's invention. It shoots potatoes with propane and has a hell of a kick.

Showing the hurricane damage from the storm in 2006. The screaming in the background is a group of Japanese folks having a field day. Later we played baseball with them.
